Experimenting
I've just discovered smocking, I've known the technique for years but never had the time to do it, now I'm totally in love.
A toile I'm testing, I think I'm happy with the shape, so i'll make it out of wool.

Hi my name is Joyce Addai-Davis, I am textile designer specialising in woven textiles and couture tailoring. I started weaving 5 years ago at Chelsea College of Art and design in 2004 , after graduating in 2008 I worked for the Thai Royal Family in Chiang Rai, Thailand for 6 months and returned to London and started my own business.
12 months had past and the atelier of Addai-by-Davis was born, the focus was to create beautiful clothing that was made with care and attention to detail at affordable prices.We make and design made-to-measure clothing, taking the clients exact measurements, converting them into toiles for fitting and using hand and machine stitching for the final the garment.
